Pipe Compatibility

TRITON Series TRP1 RF Fusion Weld fittings are used to

transition polyethylene pipe. The fittings are manufactured

of PE 4710 and are compatible with all commercially manu-

factured High Density Polyethylene pipe up to and including

PE100 and PE4710 materials.

Compatible pipe designation codes include: PE3408,

PE3608, PE3708, PE3710, PE4608, PE4708, PE4710 ASTM

3350, PE100 and PE80 ISO.

TRITON TRP1 fittings may also be used with many MDPE

materials as well. Please consult factory for MDPE fusion

information.

Specifications

The system shall be plumbed using Watts TRITON RF Fusion

Welded pipe and fittings. Each fitting will incorporate the

TRITON Fuse-Tel™ fusion indicator that will extrude upon

completion of the joint and provide a visual and tactile indi-

cation that the weld has been successfully completed. The

RF welding system will operate on 110/115 VAC power and

utilize a 13.56MHz ISM band frequency in conjunction with a

dual susceptor imbedded in the fitting to propagate the weld.

Installation Notes

• Fitting and pipe must be free of grease, oils, water and

debris. Wipe each fitting and pipe end before insertion of

pipe into fitting.

• Pipe must be inserted into the fitting to the correct depth.

Use the depth feature on the side of the fitting to properly

mark the required insertion depth on the pipe.
